Be a rapt listener,
give a ear to our pusillanimous deeds where the so called ‘civilized’ citizens and
‘goddess preachers’ kill their daughters, just because they are afraid to see
girls infront of them, they can give huge property and money bucks to their son’s
but they are so coward to not even bare the expenses of education and marriage
of their daughter, which perhaps does not even comprise 2% of their property…
A girl, a daughter, a
mother, a wife- her so many roles in our life fill our world with panivorous colors.
She is the one who builds juvenescent nation with both girls and boys.
Imagine our world
without her.. can u??? it’s a difficult task to do?? And even if u can then I m
sure it would be a life of full pell-mell. Then why do we behave in a pratfall
way with her and ablactate her happiness and right on her own life whereas she
deserves a great dignity and respectful life for whatever she does for us.
Lets me be very frank
to my sisters and mothers, I think they can get what they deserve but not by
being a shy gal rather by being a hoyden personality, not by being just a wife
rather being a working woman would be designation with more dignity and power.
Now let me talk of Indians
especially Punjabis who have great lust for having a SON. Once an old Punjabi lady
(citizen of Canada but basically Punjabi) at Canada airport was stopped by the
airport authorities during check because she had an apple in her hand bag and
the authorities forbade her to carry apple along but she continuously refused
replying that the very apple had been given to her by some great saint and if
her daughter-in-law would eat it she will definitely give birth to a son…how
funny that sounds!!! Isn’t that so???
Repeatedly being
warned by the authorities the lady did not agreed and finally her son and daughter
in law (who came there to receive her) were called up inside. Apple was cut
into two parts and authorities said that her daughter in law could eat the half
part but only when the very lady herself eats the another half part of it. Both of them ate it,
but it remained a mystery that who gave birth to son after the eating the ‘magical
apple’.. funny no!!
The fact cannot be
denied that no matters that our nation, our world has developed so much and we
are at zenith, but even then what are our thoughts and our attitude ??? ask yourself
once?? There are numerous families who can go beyond our thoughts for having a
son, they can marry their son twice –thrice , they can go for multiple
abortions and many more dangerous acts. Now talking about the above discussed
example, isn’t it a shameful act for the developed nation like Canada by their
citizens? Isn’t it a act to hurt Punjabi glory and Punjabi culture. If we think
with unbiased mind then the fact cannot be denied that girls have played a
greater role in establishment of Punjabis in Canada and those daughters have
bought up their parents from Punjab to Canada sacrificing their own dreams. Can
“son’s” do this for their parents?? But even then Punjabis who have settled in
foreign countries have such great lust for SON’s?
Numerous Punjabi newspapers
published in Canada comprise of such quotes which promise to bless them with a
son. And reading these quotes many families with lack of knowledge get into
stupid activities with sheer wastage of time and money. On one side even little
children read in schools and are very well aware that with such activities SON
is not born, but despite this the aged one’s are not ready to get out of their low
class thinking. Such shameful acts are non glorious for not only Punjabi rather
entire Indian nation. Our Punjab and India faces criticism due to such dirty
acts by couple of people.
Some quotes against
women empowerment like “girls- outsiders dowry and property”, ”girls are
inauspicious and omen”, “girl is to be married of by parents and she
should die at in-laws home- this is the tradition”. This is total shit!! Means
is this our culture that we are supposed to see our daughter dying of in pain
at her in laws home but we are not supposed to help her? Is it because our
culture says or is this troth fact that we don’t want to carry any kind of headache
on our head?
Think once if we don’t
have space for her in our life and home and even her in laws don’t want to bare
her , then WHAT IS THE PLACE WHERE SHE COULD LIVE WITH DIGNITY?
Parents don’t want to
give a single penny to her daughters and want to shower everything over their
sons. And on the other hand, are the in laws who keep on demanding…
